Switch owners can finally hail to the king of 90s FPS, Duke Nukem 3D comes to Switch

Our favorite muscle bound hero is back and this time onto the Nintendo Switch on the 23rd June. Polish game studio SONKA and Gearbox Software has announced that the Duke Nukem 3D will be coming onto the Nintendo Switch.

Considered to be one of the best first-person shooters in the 90s, Switch owners will finally be able to get their hands on and find out what made this game so well known. That said, this particular is actually a re-release of the 2016 version which came out for PS4 and Xbox One. What this means that Switch owners are getting the more refined and more bulked version of the package.

The Switch version come features with all the optional motion controls which also takes full advantage of the gyro sensors of the Switch. SONKA has made proper adjustments so Switch owners will be able to truly enjoy a classic through the use of current game tech.

In addition, there will also be an ad-hoc or LAN multiplayer support up to 4 players. There will also an HD Rumble feature to really feel the intensity of explosions and gunshot. A small but nice add-on for such a classic.

SONKA are not skimping through the content but in fact adding in more instead. All of the additional stages that came with the previous release of the 20 Anniversary will be included plus an additional new episode, 8 new maps done by the original episode designers. Furthermore, new lines by Duke Nukem himself as well as new music by the original composer are all newly done up which is really awesome.

Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour for the Switch will be released on the 23rd June. Time to frag it like its 1996.
