    Card-based RPG adventure Black Book announced for consoles

    Initially set for PC via Steam, publisher HypeTrain Digital and developer Morteshka makes a magical announcement for their upcoming game titled Black Book which is now coming to Xbox One, Switch, and PlayStation 4 fusing both card-based RPG and adventure mechanics in a tale of an alluring cold dark world of folk tales where a young sorceress, who surrenders her life to the dark forces.

     

    All to bring her beloved back to life

    As a young girl named Vasilisa who was destined to become a witch decides to throw her fate away and marry her beloved only to be shattered as her betrothed dies under mysterious circumstances. After losing her love, she turns to seek out a demonic artifact called the Black Book which grants any wishes once uncovered all 7 of its seals. Her adventures will span across the Russian countryside, as she solves the woes of the common folk by confronting demons and performing exorcisms.

    Key witching features:

    • Uncover the seals of Black Book– Collect spell cards and new skills as you progress.

    • A Historic Adventure- Solve riddles and complete side-quests to learn more about the cold world of early XIXth Century Russia.

    • Lead a Demonic Flock- Send demons to do your bidding, but be careful – idle demons will torture you if you don’t find them something to do!

    • Myths and legends- Explore a world based on Northern Russian mythology. Learn from an in-game encyclopedia, created with the help of expert anthropologists – and find all folk tales hidden within the game!
