Developers over at The Rat Project has announced their Kickstarter backed project named Magin: The Rat Project Stories now has a playable demo set up on Steam. Combining 2D adventure gameplay and rich RPG elements, this game is sure to entice players who are keen to try out this up and coming, 2D RPG adventurer. Check out the trailer below:
Magin is a narrative-driven, adventure role-playing game with deck-building mechanics and a card-based combat system. It presents a dark, fantasy world through a non-linear plot, presented in a comic-book art style. A hand-drawn, immersive tale. A tale of two characters – Tolen and Elester, though holding few things in common, they are bound by a fate that neither of them suspects. Play out their adventure as they seek out enemies and battle in a card-style fighting sequence where players skillfully plan out each attack.
The studio initiated project began in 2017. The Kickstarter campaign has only just started, with a goal of around 200 000 PLN ($50k, £38k) that will be funding the further development of the game. Some game features below:
