LG First-Ever UltraGear Gaming Laptop 17G90Q Unveiled

LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled its first-ever gaming laptop with the model number 17G90Q. The CES 2022 Innovation Award-winner will be part of LG’s UltraGear lineup with its sleek design to deliver a sublime gaming experience on the go.

The 17G90Q features an 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake H Processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q GPU, a dual-channel memory and an ultra-fast SSD setup. It has a 17-inch IPS panel display that boasts a 1 millisecond response time and 300 Hz refresh rate. To keep it all cool, it is fitting with LG’s cooling system of vapour chambers for when you push it to the limit.

Its portable design also has been streamlined with it having an impressive 93Wh battery while maintaining its thickness under 21.4 millimetres and weight just below 2.7 kilograms. The casing is made out of aluminium for style and durability with a winged UlraGear badge to clearly show LG’s power and quality that the brand is known for.

With LG’s gaming software, LG UltraGear Studio, the 17G90Q is optimized to give the best gaming experience which lets the user customize gaming-related options and track a variety of performance data like CPU Clock, GPU TPU and clock and memory share rate all in real-time. Users can also customize every single key in the laptop’s RGB keyboard.

LG UltraGear gaming laptop will deliver realistic, three-dimensional sound with its built-in 2-way speaker system. Supporting DTS:X Ultra, the speakers accurately convey the directionality and location of sounds in the gaming environment, helping players to find their teammates and track down their enemies more easily. What’s more, the 17G90Q comes with Intel Killer Wireless, which helps guarantee a fast, stable network connection for lag- and frustration-free online gaming experiences.

“The LG UltraGear gaming laptop has everything needed to tackle the latest high-spec games, delivering the smooth, responsive gameplay that all gamers want,” said Seo Young-jae, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “Our first-ever gaming laptop, the 17G90Q differentiates itself from competing products with its premium hardware, generous, high-quality screen, and a sleek, lightweight design that maximises convenience and portability.”
