When it comes to making a Collector’s Edition, no doubt every game studios and publishers would aim at producing one that justifies a purchase. Collectors always look for something they would feel proud of owning and showing off. It is, therefore, imperative that a Collector’s Edition looks epically cool, emits a sense of premium quality, somewhat affordable, and better if it’s limited.
I have seen, owned, and handled plenty of Collector’s Edition before, either because of my work or hobby before I retired from collecting.
I have seen some pretty disappointing ones, and just to name a few from my (quite) recent purchase – like the Fallout 4’s cheap and plastic Pip Boy and Uncharted 4’s dull and dumb-looking figurine of Nathan Drake.
I’ve also had the privilege of handling the ambitious and premium looking Collector’s Edition of Ubisoft’s For Honor – featuring 3 steel headgears from the 3 main classes in the game. There are also Collector’s Editions that comes with a decent looking figurine but accompanied by plenty of side merchandises that enhanced their value tremendously like Assassins’s Creed 3, Hitman, and Dark Souls 3 to name a few.
But this one – Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions Legend Edition, really tops the table of anything I’ve seen for a Collector’s Edition so far. An edition that features a freaking Table Football table, among many other things.
These editions are advertised for the UK region, but I am assuming neighbouring regions should have similar if not identical offers available.
Let’s take a look at all the different editions there is, shall we?
Here’s the Pre-Order Edition for PC, PS4, and Switch.
The Deluxe Edtion.
The Collector’s Edition. Comes with a 28cm figurine of Ozora Tsubasa, the main character.

The Legend Edition is something a bit more special, including a premium Captain Tsubasa table football table, made by one of the most respected manufacturers in the world – René Pierre*, on top of the Champions Edition and exclusive to the BNEE E-commerce Store.
*René Pierre is a famous French billiard and football table manufacturer drawing his inspiration from furniture designers as well as pop-culture. All their products combine quality and design.
