Tokyo-based live music company SOHO Live has announced an expansion of its tour dates for the Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons concert series, following strong demand.
The tour, which showcases music from the popular video game and anime, will now include additional stops in Europe, Asia, North America, and Oceania, extending its reach to 13 countries.
New cities on the tour include Paris, Milan, Manchester, Tokyo, Auckland, and San Francisco, among others, bringing the total to over 40 nights. This expansion makes it the most extensive concert tour dedicated to an independent video game IP.
The concert series features music from Stardew Valley, performed by a chamber orchestra composed of top local musicians at each tour stop. The show is structured into sections representing the four seasons of the game, with music from Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter taking the spotlight.
It also includes other memorable themes from the game’s locations, festivals, and characters. Additionally, exclusive Stardew Valley merchandise will be available at the concerts.
The music pieces, curated by Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone (ConcernedApe), have been arranged by a team of conductors including Thanapol Setabrahmana and Sarah-Grace Williams.
Barone expressed his delight at the enthusiastic response to the Festival of Seasons, highlighting the passion of the Stardew community. Sarah-Grace Williams, Artistic Director & Chief Conductor at The Metropolitan Orchestra, shared her excitement about bringing the game’s music to life.
Thanapol Setabrahmana, Assistant Music Director of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, emphasized the unique appeal of video game music in live performances.
The tour schedule includes multiple dates across various regions, with some cities hosting two shows in one day. In the United States, the tour will visit cities like Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, with several dates already sold out.
Canadian stops include Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Edmonton. In Australia and New Zealand, cities like Melbourne, Perth, Wellington, Auckland, Brisbane, and Sydney are on the list, with several sold-out shows.
